Stanley Wheeler has been a vacuum cleaner salesman, window washer, construction site lackey, cow milker, farmhand, customer support representative, software documentation writer, law clerk, lawyer, and is currently a deputy prosecuting attorney in Idaho who writes books and short stories. His novels include the Tomahawks and Dragon Fire series (Threading the Rude Eye, Power to Hurt, Clamorous Harbingers, Promise of Carnage and Flame, Truth in Flames, Crisis in Fire and Snow, and the prequel In Death Bedrenched), two westerns (Justice in Season and Justice Resurgent), a humorous noir mystery (Smoke), and a near future dystopian thriller (The Shrinking Zone).
Stanley performs at the local theater and in stage plays of old-time radio shows. He has lectured on Constitutional issues and Viking mythology. He enjoys hiking, fencing, riding his motorcycle, perfecting the rules of his skirmish and role-playing games, and testing them with grandsons and anyone else who will play. He’s also willing to play a game of cribbage whenever possible.
