Spotlighting new work by Writers Cantina participants:

I, Magi is a gritty historical fantasy of survival, exile, and the first stirrings of a power long thought lost.

When a young man’s home is destroyed by war and betrayal, he is forced to flee into a harsh and unforgiving world.

With enemies behind him and uncertainty ahead, survival depends on endurance, discipline, and the will to keep moving through lands shaped by ancient grudges and clashing cultures.

As he struggles to stay alive, he begins to sense that the world is not governed by steel and blood alone.

Old legends still breathe beneath the surface of history, and forces spoken of only in whispers may yet shape the fate of men.

If he is to survive what lies ahead, he may need to seek answers from those few who truly understand the hidden currents of power—the fabled Magi.

Inspired by Norse and early European history, I, Magi is the first step in an epic saga of loss, transformation, and the long road from survival to legend.
