Sean Nathan Ricks is an author, painter, martial artist, blues guitarist, and game designer best known as the creator of the iMagi universe — an interconnected mythic fantasy setting spanning novels, artwork, and tabletop gaming. He is the author of I, Magi: Book One of The Magi Cycle, I, Mystic: Book 2 of The Magi Cycle, and The Man Who Would Be Time, works that blend ancient mythology, mysticism, noir influence, speculative fiction, and philosophical themes surrounding chaos, destiny, and forgotten gods. His storytelling is heavily influenced by his lifelong study of martial arts, blues music, and mythology, creating worlds that feel both timeless and dangerous.
In addition to writing, Ricks is the creator and lead artist behind the iMagi Kingdom of Thor card game, a fantasy strategy game featuring his original paintings and lore. A practitioner of Kali, Arnis, Eskrima, Kuntao, and internal martial systems, his combat philosophy and spiritual influences often appear throughout his fiction and visual art.
